PRP (platelet rich plasma) uses the patient’s own blood to promote healing and regeneration and can be used to thicken hair, reduce the visibility of scars and alleviate the symptoms of joint inflammation.
A PRP facial, also known as the ‘vampire facial’ significantly improves skin tone, texture and elasticity. It works by slowing down the ageing process whilst regenerating and correcting fine lines, skin laxity, stretch marks, body scars and acne scars.
Patients who suffer from eczema or psoriasis may also benefit from the anti-inflammatory properties of PRP. When injected into active areas, PRP can reduce the symptoms of these conditions and help treat the surrounding patches.
PRP has gained popularity in recent years as a safe and effective treatment for a wide range of
musculoskeletal injuries, including sports injuries, arthritis, tendonitis and chronic pain. It is often used as an alternative to surgery as it can help repair damaged tissues and reduce pain.
Please note: this may vary from person to person. All patients will have a full clinical consultation and assessment prior to treatment, tailoring it to their specific needs.

Frequenlty asked questions
PRP therapy is generally well tolerated but it may not be suitable for patients with certain medical conditions such as blood disorders or infections. This will be discussed in your consultation during your assessment.
During the treatment, a small amount of the patient’s blood is drawn and placed into a centrifuge. This machine separates the platelets from the other blood components. The resulting platelet rich plasma is then
injected into the treatment area where the platelets release growth factors and stimulate the body’s natural healing process.
A course of 3 treatments, once per month is recommended, followed by maintenance treatments every 3-6 months.
