Skin tags are small, harmless growths that project from the skin. While they are generally harmless, they can be unsightly and may cause discomfort or irritation. They are very common, especially as we age and many people seek skin tag removal for cosmetic reasons or due to irritation.
Skin tags are commonly found in areas of folds or friction such as the neck, under the arms, around
underwear and in the groin.
Please note: this may vary from person to person. All patients will have a full clinical consultation and assessment prior to treatment, tailoring it to their specific needs.

Frequenlty asked questions
Skin tags are typically caused by friction and are commonly found where the skin folds or where clothing rubs on the skin. This includes the neck, under arms, under breast/bra strap, or groin area. Skin tags can be hereditary and people who have type 2 diabetes or are overweight have an increased risk of developing them.
Although skin tags may be small and you could be tempted to remove them at home, this isn’t advised. Most often, they have their own blood supply and can bleed a lot and have a higher risk of forming unfavourable scars or reoccurring.
Skin tag removal is a quick and safe procedure, but as with any medical procedure, there is a risk of infection, bleeding and scarring.
No stitches are required for skin tag removal. After the treatment, you will be left with a small crust/scab for each tag removed. This will fall away naturally within 1-2 weeks.
